The Road to 100 Million Deviations!
DeviantART's 12 million members, the largest collective of artists anywhere in the world, have contributed nearly 100 million deviations! Let the countdown begin
As a site that many different creatives call home from photographers to game designers to culinary artists what will the 100 millionth deviation be?! Will it be another Flash game to inspire Nintendo's game department? A Simpsons re-creation to compel a hire from Matt Groening? Something to inspire Shia Lebouf's next tattoo? It could be anything!

WANTED: ALL BOOS AND GHOULS FROM FAIRYLAND
Attention Citizens of Fairyland:
The King of Fairyland is maniacally seeking out his subjects, and no one in the Kingdom is to be spared. Clandestine meetings have been arranged between the Monarch and key figures throughout the realm. While no one knows for certain why the King is demanding all citizens report to His Majesty, rumor has it that Death has visited the Royal Family this cold, dark Halloween season. No one knows who was killed or in what fashion, but gossip has started to fly.
Are you a witch, wizard, ghoul, monster, or other citizen of Fairyland?
If so, the King would like to recruit YOU to help guide the Royal Detectives as

The Timeline of deviantART
In 2014, DeviantArt turned 14 years old. Fourteen years is a long time, some of you reading this may be younger than that. I've gathered some historical information with the help of moonbeam13 (https://www.deviantart.com/moonbeam13) and some members of the Community Relations team to help enlighten those of you who have joined in recent years and missed out on a chunk of DeviantArt's life.
I hope you enjoy taking a step back in time!
Please note: it is extremely difficult to track down some events in DeviantArt's history (in particular, the first few years) and that some dates are only approximate.

:bulletyellow: Tell us what defines you as a person.
Well that's a tough question, first I like to think I'm an artist hehe, so that would be the short definition of myself, because the things you do define

The Artist's Toolbox: Typography
For more info on this week, please refer to The Artists Toolbox - Schedule at projecteducate (https://www.deviantart.com/projecteducate) :)
In this toolbox you will find helpful tips for digital typography. For those of you new to the topic, let's start with a short explanation :la:
Typography is the art and technique of arranging type in order to make language visible.
Pretty simple, eh? Basically as you are reading this you are "reading typography". What I will refer to in this article is digital artistic typography, though. This is not the everday typography you see on street signs, books or on websites.

Ughhh haha, I didn't expect this much feedback.. er please read this before reading this.

If you have the guts I didn't, to watch the whole video,
then even if you stopped halfway, you'll see the eyes of a raccoon dog, skinned alive, stare into the camera, while clinging to its hopeless life.
For clarification, I am not in anyway a supporter nor am I affiliated with PETA.
:thumb380071082: So if PETA is another concern and problem, then it's just another one we'll have to fix.
And yes, this specific one is staged, but my point isn't that this is how people skin animals, it's that these a

TreeLovers - voters' feature
There is voting for the featured deviations from the latest submissions every week in my group #TreeLovers (https://www.deviantart.com/treelovers). This is only possible becuase of you, our dear voters. I don't often have time to thank you personally for taking time to look at the submissions and choose the three best among them, which is often a hard task. That's why I would like to thank you with this feature - especially to the regular voters, but also to those who vote sporadically. I am glad to have you in my group!
